It is imperative for individuals serving in the judiciary to be reflective of our wider society and that the process for selecting such judges be consistent and transparent. Justice Ling-Cohan is a thoughtful and accomplished jurist who has ruled on landmark cases and has numerous accolades to her credit, including being named among the 75 outstanding women lawyers in 2015 by the National Law Journal for excellence in the legal profession. The first Asian American woman elected to the New York Supreme Court, she has been a trailblazer on many fronts. The Muslim Bar Association of New York believes she is an eminently qualified jurist who should continue to serve the people of New York.
