Co-Sponsored by MuBANY
Following up on the City Bar Justice Center 12/19/16 event on Assisting Victims of Hate Crime and Bias, this program will focus on representing bias victims under the discriminatory harassment provisions of the New York City Human Rights Law. Incidents of discriminatory harassment are increasing and there are several options available for victims to find redress under the law. The program will cover the rise in bias incidents, discriminatory harassment litigation and administrative proceedings, including the possibility of undocumented immigrants obtaining U visas for helping government officials in the investigation of criminal activity.
